This qualification reflects the role of support workers who complete specialised tasks and functions in aged services; either in residential, home or community-based environments. Workers will take responsibility for their own outputs within defined organisation guidelines and maintain quality service delivery through the development, facilitation and review of individualised service planning and delivery.
Workers may be required to demonstrate leadership and have limited responsibility for the organisation and the quantity and quality of outputs of others within limited parameters. To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 120 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency.

After completion of CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support, students may wish to
undertake higher AQF level courses such as:

Age restrictions
Students must be 18 years of age or above.
Course requirements
Completed Yr 10 or equivalent; or
Completed CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support; or
1 year work-experience (equivalent to 1 year full-time) in the aged care industry.
English requirements
Completed the LLN assessment OR;
Five years education taught in English OR;
A minimum of IELTS score of 5.5 with no band less than 5.0 or PTE equivalent for International Students.
Work Placement requirements:
Australian Police Check (no longer than 6 months from the time of enrolment)
Completion of NDIS Online module- ‘Worker Orientation Module: Quality, safety and You’.
NDIS Check
Flu vaccination + updated vaccination record + COVID Vaccines
Have a reasonable level of fitness to cope with standing, lifting, bending, twisting and reaching
Are physically, mentally and emotionally healthy to respond appropriately to personal needs
Students doing online overseas will need to apply this when they arrive here in Australia.
Students will attend work placement at an aged care facility & with an NDIS Provider to complete 120 hours in total.
