This qualification reflects the role of individuals establishing or operating a business providing self-employment, as well as those establishing a new venture as part of a larger organisation.
These individuals use well developed skills and a broad knowledge base to solve a range of unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources. They may provide leadership and guidance to others and have responsibility for the output of others.
This qualification targets learners who wish to obtain the BSB40320 Certificate IV in Entrepreneurship and New Business, to formalise existing skills, progress in their careers or have the ability to study a higher-level qualification.
The Certificate IV in Entrepreneurship and New Business equips students with the robust skills and strategies needed to launch and manage entrepreneurial ventures or lead impactful projects within established organisations. Through a dynamic curriculum focused on problem-solving, leadership, and data-driven decision-making, students gain a deep understanding of modern business practices.

After completion of BSB40320 Certificate IV in Entrepreneurship and New Business , students may wish to undertake 11210NAT Diploma of Entrepreneurship and Innovation or similar courses.
If a qualification is only partly achieved, a Statement of Attainment is issued for successful achievement of a single or multiple unit of competency.
Age restrictions
Students must be 18 years of age or above.
Course requirements
Completed Yr 12 or equivalent or relevant experience;
English requirements
Completed the LLN assessment OR;
Five years education taught in English OR;
A minimum of IELTS score of 5.5 with no band less than 5.0 or PTE equivalent for International Students.
